On my trip back to California from South Carolina I read about a partnership between Emeco and Coca Cola, which resulted in the 111 Navy Chair.  Made out of 111 recycled plastic bottles, the mix (60% rPET) is combined with glass fiber for strength and assembled through an advanced modeling technique using a proprietary manufacturing process (the chair is molded upside down at extreme temperatures).  The result is a sleek chair with structural integrity that comes in a variety of colors (my favorite is grass green).  For approximately $250, you can purchase the 111 Navy Chair at Design Within Reach, hivemodern.com, or roomandboard.com.
