While it may not be in San Diego or Southern California, I still wanted to bring attention to an event at the National Building Museum in Washington DC. On January 26, 6:30-8:30, part of a public series, For the Greener Good, which focuses on environmental sustainability. The upcoming event, Urban Architecture, will involve a discussion with industry professionals and innovators. With the recent focus on carbon footprints, eating locally, and increasing our impact on the earth, this discussion will focus on ideas, experiences and solutions on how to increase farming inside our city limits. There have been some amazing strides to create farms in unordinary places and spaces. I wish very much that I could attend this event, and encourage anyone that is in the DC area to check it out!
