butter finger

i've never been much of a nails girl.  it's never really fit my lifestyle.  between playing sports and creating art, it wasn't even worth the attempt to grow them out or keep them from chipping.  but from time to time i would enjoy the treat of a manicure (now gels make the maintenance that much easier), and i would leave the nail salon with a bottle of polish to help make the color last.  i was partial to OPI for a long time, more for the creative names than the colors, but recently i discovered butter.  founded in 2005, this london based natural line of nail lacquer has developed quite a following, and was the first company to sell non-toxic polish in the states.  they have eliminated ingredients like formaldehyde, toluene, dbp and parabens (although i will admit it chips faster because of this fact).  and similar to OPI, the custom color palette comes with great names too, such as: yummy mummy, come to bed red, lady muck, hen party, cheeky chops, and snog.  locally, one can get a butter manicure or pick up a bottle at 20 lounge in cardiff-by-the-sea.
